Welcome to City to Suburb Interiors, a full service Interior Design firm on a mission to make professional design and high quality furniture more approachable.
Meet Julia
Prior to starting City to Suburb Interiors, I was lucky enough to learn the ins and outs of the design business from the ground up. After working with two of the foremost Interior Designers in the industry, I went on to a successful career in Construction Management. As a Project Manager, I handled all aspects of high end renovations in New York City and New Jersey. My specialties included procurement and coordinating trades (keeping your project on-time and budget), spatial planning (will all of my stuff fit/work/transition to my new space?), and design details (custom cabinetry, tile and stone layouts, sophisticated wall finishes, and bespoke window treatments.)
Using my background in Math (B.A., University of Pennsylvania) and Interior Design (A.A.S., Fashion Institute of Technology), I help my clients delve into the space and furnishing needs of their home in a uniquely creative way. From mood boards to 3D design renderings that help you envision your space, to furniture suggestions that can handle your pets/children/spouse, it’s my goal to offer design guidance and inspiration that helps you create a home which is beautiful, functional, and adds value to your life.
Meet Tanya
With a background in editing, communications and more recently, furniture production, Tanya is busy behind the scenes supporting the design process. She is here to assist you for the duration of your project including answering questions, scheduling meetings, and providing you with regular updates on furniture production. Tanya also manages orders, communicating with vendors and keeping track of deliverables and timelines.
Meet Suzy
Suzy comes from a successful career in the fashion industry and has an incredible eye for color and textiles. She fell in love with Interior Design after managing a large personal project, and we are happy to have her on board! She assists Julia with sourcing furnishings, fabrics, and finishes. She helps update our design library with fresh resources and assists on job sites. We love her stylish touches when we are accessorizing for a photo shoot or a “big reveal.”
