Julia first met these clients in 2019, when they invited her to refresh two bathrooms in the home they’d lived in for more than 30 years. What began as a small project quickly grew into a multi-year, whole-home transformation as they discovered how much they loved the design process.
Room by room, the house evolved with thoughtful renovations and new furnishings, blending cherished heirlooms with modern pieces selected just for them. Luxurious details—etched limestone, designer textiles, and rugs with playful abstract patterns—were balanced with the practicality needed for dogs and visiting grandchildren, including performance fabrics and custom slipcovers.
By 2023, the clients were ready for the next chapter, and Julia designed an addition to support aging in place: a spacious first-floor bathroom and a light-filled home office. Today, they continue to collaborate, updating art and décor so their home grows and shifts beautifully with each season of life.
